Many films at the Cannes film festival were graded using DaVinci resolve, and scenes in Mad Max: Fury Road, were filmed using the Blackmagic Cinema Camera.

Blackmagic Design has announced that big budget thriller Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit has been finished on DaVinci Resolve by Company 3 London. Kenneth Branagh has directed Paramount Pictures reboot of the spy film franchise, based on bestselling author Tom Clancys Jack Ryan character.

Blackmagic Design has announced that Company 3 London has used DaVinci Resolve for color grading the film adaptation of Captain Phillips, the latest blockbuster film starring Tom Hanks.

The overall goal during the grade was to create a look that would bind both digital and archived film material together, giving Rush a seamless look throughout. Our brief was to give the film a 70s period feel with a modern slant. Inspiration for the colour palette came from a lot of the readily available archived 8mm, 16mm and 35mm footage of the 1976 World Championship.

From creative genius Tim Burton, the film tells a heartwarming tale about a boy and his dog. After unexpectedly losing his dog, Sparky, young Victor harnesses the power of science to bring his best friend back to life, albeit with a few minor adjustments. Working with cinematographer Peter Zorg it was the job of London-based colourist Rob Pizzey to create a look and feel for the film that would tell this story in Tim Burton's own unique style.
