Atomos Ships Connect Converters: HDMI to HD-SDI & HD-SDI to HDMI conversion
>> Atomos, creator of the award-winning field recorders Ninja-2 and Samurai, announces worldwide shipping of the world's smallest converters: Connect H2S and Connect S2H. Connect Converters are the ultimate converter tools for any situation that demands HDMI to HD-SDI connectivity.

With the included AC mains adaptor, internal and external battery options, as well as Atomos’ patent-pending Continuous Power technology, you can convert anytime, anywhere in any environment.

“Atomos has steadily built a reputation for developing affordable, low power, high functionality, portable devices. The Connect series takes this approach to a whole new level,” said Jeromy Young, CEO and Founder of Atomos.

“We have built Connect to be the tool of choice when it comes to conversion, Pulldown removal and test pattern generation; it even supports true digital 3G modes (50/60p). This pocket-sized dynamo just rocks! It’s perfect for fixed facilities or mobile operation, and it fits in the palm of your hand.”

Built for convenience, the Connect Converters are incredibly lightweight, yet still pack a lot of functionality into a tiny form factor, including 3:2/2:2 Pulldown removal, Test Pattern Generator and audio test-tone. There’s even a built-in flashlight for use in dark locations!

There are two Connect models, both identical in size: Connect H2S converts from HDMI to HD-SDI, Connect S2H converts HD-SDI to HDMI.

The Test Pattern Generator has multiple patterns, in both SD and HD, the latter including 1080p50 and 60 – true 3G modes. The modes are indicated by coloured LEDs. Learn the colour sequences, learn the modes for fast and easy operation.

In addition, customers who already own an Atomos field recorder can use the appropriate Connect to give their Ninja-1/2 HD-SDI connectivity (H2S), or HDMI input and output for a Samurai (S2H).

Connect Features:

  • Incredibly small & lightweight
  • Fixed-facility or mobile standalone operation
  • AC power and battery options
  • Test Pattern Generator & audio test-tone
  • 3:2 & 2:2 Pulldown removal
  • Flashlight mode included

Connect Converters are priced at $349 USD / €249 / £219
