In the this presentation Producer/Director, Rick Young, runs through the reasons of when to shoot RAW and how this can be used to enhance the filmmaking process. However, there is a cost to RAW – and for many productions compressed formats are the most suitable acquisition format.
Rick explores the reasons to use both workflows, backed up by many visual examples showing the tremendous grading potential which RAW offers, and the high level of quality which compressed images provide, when shot well with the right camera in the right hands.
