Ianiros new portable and fully dimmable Gulliver LED is a small 40W unit available in AC or DC versions. With the same diminutive proportions as the classic halogen light, the new Gulliver offers all the advantages of LED technology.

Gulliver LED is designed for use in small studios and on location. As such, it is lightweight and durable making it suitable for news and documentary reporters.
The small size of the unit posed particular challenges to the design team. To keep operating temperatures at acceptable levels, the casing was designed as a radiator, with near-invisible vents throughout. The internal heat sink was made to measure from anti-corrosion aluminium, very different from an ordinary commercial extruded component. The aluminium casing was optimized to facilitate heat dispersion.
The same attention to focus is evident with the mirrors, which are printed on ultra-pure time-tested aluminium by a German company, which is a leader in the field. For Gulliver, as with all Ianiro products, a special diffusing finish is made with great precision to give the light the right balance between softness and high luminance.
This emphasis on quality engineering extends to the choice of individual LEDs, which are carefully selected and calibrated for professional television applications. The bulb arrangement and internal circuitry was also specified by Ianiros research and development team in order to ensure suitability for professional video use.
Because of our precise LED arrays and custom-designed heatsinks, notes Allen-Miles, the dreaded colour shift (LED colour deviation) is not an issue. These factors, plus LED bulb quality, means that the unit has excellent heat dissipation. This makes a real difference compared to standard products.
